The Alternate Thursday Pool League (Gosport)

Hello and welcome to 'The Alternate Thursday Pool League' website

Launched in May 2011 the league was created to allow teams in Gosport and Fareham to continuing to playing using the old rules (see 'Rules') as an alternative to the new 'World 8 Ball Federation Rules'. We are running alongside the existing Gosport Thursday Pool League and we are having twice as much fun.

The first summer season ran for 22 weeks and included Team Cup and Plate competitions. The winter league kicked off in September when we added Singles and Doubles knockout competitions..

We welcome any newcomers; players wanting to join teams can contact us and we will forward your details to Team Captains in your area; Teams wanting to join can fill out a Team Registration Form and bring it to the next sign on night which is 21/04/2012 between 16.00 and 18.30 at Lee on Solent Community Centre, 51 Twyford Drive, Lee-on-the-Solent, PO13 8JU. All new teams applications will be voted on by the league (The Team Captains) and if accepted will join the league at the beginning of the next season. The new summer season starts on 03/05/2012 it will run for about 22 weeks and will include a cup and a plate but no singles or doubles.

Any Companies who feel they might want help or sponsor the league in anyway please contact any committee member (see 'League Contacts').
